D365 Engineer - Permanent - Manchester (Hybrid) - Competitive Salary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a D365 Engineer to join a global law firm based in Manchester.

This role will see you take technical ownership of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, leading its architecture, governance, ongoing development, and optimisation across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the D365 platform and act as design authority, with a primary focus on Customer Service and CRM.
  • Define and evolve D365 and Power Platform architecture, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot Studio.
  • Manage environment lifecycles and establish best practice across security, integrations, data models and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Own the technical roadmap covering upgrades, releases, capacity, licensing and technical debt.
  • Provide technical direction to developers, reviewing designs, resolving complex issues and ensuring scalable solutions.
  • Govern the effective use of Power Platform and develop Microsoft platform capability across the wider applications team.
  • Manage D365 delivery partners and engagement with Microsoft, translating platform developments into practical recommendations.
  • Support D365 incident resolution, release readiness and continuous improvement.

  • Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience, particularly Customer Service and/or CRM/Customer Engagement.
  • Working knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse; Copilot Studio exposure desirable.
  • Strong understanding of D365 architecture, data and security models, integration patterns and ALM.
  • Experience setting technical direction, reviewing designs and supporting developers.
  • Experience working with Microsoft delivery partners, with knowledge of platform governance, licensing and security.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts and trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-600, MB-230, MB-210 or equivalent are desirable.
  • Service Desk/second-line Microsoft platform support experience is desirable.
  • Exposure to Azure integration services, Microsoft Fabric, Foundry, Copilot or Customer Insights is advantageous.
  • Legal or wider professional services experience is desirable.
