Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) QA to support the testing and validation of Finance business processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Finance modules, end-to-end business process testing, UA coordination, process documentation, and stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams.
The role requires close collaboration with Finance SMEs, Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers to ensure business requirements are validated and delivered with high quality.
Your responsibilities:
End-to-End Finance Testing
- Design, prepare, and execute end-to-end test scenarios covering Finance business processes.
- Validate business flows across:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Subscription Billing
- Cash & Bank Management
- Financial Reporting
- Period-End and Year-End Closing
- Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and UAT cycles.
- Verify financial postings, accounting entries, workflow approvals, and reporting outputs.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to validate configured solutions against business requirements.

UAT Management & Support
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing activities with business users and Finance stakeholders.
- Prepare UAT test scripts and execution plans.
- Facilitate UAT workshops and walkthrough sessions.
- Support business users during testing and defect resolution.
- Track UAT progress and report testing status to project leadership.
- Obtain testing sign-off and business acceptance.
Process Documentation
- Create and maintain:
- Test Plans
- Test Scenarios
- Test Cases
- Process Flow Documents
- UAT Scripts
- Defect Logs
- Test Summary Reports
- Ensure documentation meets governance and audit requirements.
Business Engagement
- Act as the bridge between Finance business teams and the project delivery team.
- Conduct workshops to understand business processes and testing requirements.
- Review requirements and identify test coverage needs.
- Facilitate discussions on process gaps, defects, and improvement opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with Finance SMEs and key stakeholders.

Defect & Quality Management
- Log, track, and manage defects through Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.
- Perform impact assessments and prioritise defect resolution activities.
- Participate in defect triage and release readiness reviews.
- Support go-live preparation and post-deployment validation.
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- 5+ years of software testing experience.
- 3+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations testing experience.
- Strong understanding of Finance business processes and accounting principles.
- Experience supporting full project lifecycle testing including SIT, UAT, and Regression Testing.
- Proven experience engaging directly with Finance business users and stakeholders.
- Experience creating documentation processes and testing artefacts.
- Experience using Azure DevOps Test Plans or similar test management tools.
