D365 F&O Advanced Warehouse Consultant - Contract

Remote + Some travel
Contract
Initial contract assignment with strong potential to extend.
This is a practical delivery role. The consultant will work closely with warehouse, manufacturing, supply chain, and technical teams to design, configure, test, and support warehouse processes within D365 F&O.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the D365 F&O Advanced Warehouse workstream.
- Gather and validate warehouse requirements with business users.
- Configure warehouse processes in D365 F&O.
- Design and support inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse flows.
- Configure location directives, work templates, and mobile device menu items.
- Support licence plate, batch, serial, and inventory status processes.
- Configure and validate putaway, picking, replenishment, dispatch, and cycle counting processes.
- Support warehouse mobile app processes and user journeys.
- Work with manufacturing teams to support warehouse-production integration.
- Support raw material picking, production input locations, and finished goods putaway.
- Assist with inventory accuracy, reservation hierarchy, and stock movement controls.
- Support labels, document routing, and warehouse documentation where required.
- Prepare and execute functional testing, UAT, and go-live activities.
- Train key users and support post-go-live stabilization.
- Work with technical teams where development, integration, or reporting gaps are identified.

Required Experience
- Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Dynamics AX functional consulting background.
- Hands-on experience with D365 F&O Warehouse Management / Advanced Warehouse.
- Strong knowledge of location directives, work templates, mobile menus, and warehouse mobile processes.
- Experience with licence plates, batch/serial tracking, reservation hierarchy, and inventory status.
- Experience across inbound, outbound, replenishment, cycle counting, and dispatch processes.
- Experience supporting warehouse processes in manufacturing or inventory-led environments.
- Understanding of how warehouse processes connect to production and MRP.
- Ability to run workshops, document requirements, support fit-gap, configure the solution, and train users.
- Experience supporting UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced international programme environment.

- Production Control exposure.
- Raw material picking and production order warehouse flows.
- Finished goods receipt / report as finished / putaway processes.
- Labels and document routing.
- AX to D365 migration experience.
- Multi-country rollout experience.
- Experience working with remote and onsite project teams.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on D365 F&O Advanced Warehouse Consultant who can own warehouse configuration and guide business users through process design, testing, and go-live. This role is not suitable for a purely technical consultant, generic business analyst, finance consultant, or warehouse operations SME without D365 F&O configuration experience.
