Job Description
The D365 ERP Technical Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 FnO solutions. The candidate will be responsible for defining technical solution architecture, overseeing integrations, guiding development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-quality ERP solutions. Experience in global implementations and onsite client engagement is essential.
Required Experience and Skills
- 10+ years of ERP technical delivery experience with Dynamics 365 F&O/Dynamics AX, including multiple end-to-end implementations.
- Strong expertise in D365 F&O architecture, X++, integrations, data entities, reporting, security, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, Dataverse, Power Platform, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Knowledge of AI capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Dynamics 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, and AI-driven ERP solutions.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, source control, CI/CD pipelines, release management, environment administration, and production support.
- Ability to create solution architectures, technical designs, integration specifications, migration plans, and deployment documentation.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, estimation, and problem-solving skills, with experience working in Agile and global delivery environments.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications in D365 Finance & Operations, Azure, Power Platform, or Solution Architecture.
- Experience delivering large-scale, multi-country D365 implementations, upgrades, and transformation programs.
- Willingness to work in a global onsite-offshore delivery model and travel as required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define the end-to-end technical architecture, solution blueprint, application landscape, integration strategy, environment roadmap, and technical direction for D365 Finance & Operations implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
- Translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into scalable, secure, high-performing, and maintainable solutions.
- Promote fit-to-standard and extension-based development practices, providing governance for X++, Chain of Command, event handlers, workflows, data entities, batch processes, SSRS, Electronic Reporting, and other approved extensibility patterns.
- Design and govern integrations between D365 F&O and external systems using Dataverse, Dual-write, Power Platform, Azure Integration Services, OData, custom services, business events, and APIs.
- Define data migration strategies, including data ownership, transformation rules, validation, reconciliation, cutover planning, and high-volume data migration approaches.
- Establish development standards, code review processes, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment governance using Azure DevOps.
- Own environment planning, release management, deployment coordination, service updates, testing support, environment refreshes, and production readiness activities.
- Lead performance optimization and troubleshooting efforts across integrations, customizations, batch jobs, data growth, and system workloads.
- Define and oversee technical security architecture, access management, integration identities, secrets management, compliance controls, and secure development practices.
- Review technical designs, customizations, code quality, and ISV solutions to ensure long-term maintainability and alignment with Microsoft's One Version strategy.
- Lead technical estimation, delivery planning, risk management, issue resolution, cutover activities, go-live readiness, hypercare support, and transition to support teams.
- Mentor technical leads and developers, coordinate onsite, offshore, and partner teams, and communicate technical decisions, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
