Dynamics 365 F&O Supply Chain Functional Consultant
Contract: 6 months, with potential extension
Day rate: £450–£500 per day, Inside IR35
Location: Central London, hybrid, minimum two days per week onsite
Start: ASAP; candidates with two to four weeks’ notice considered
Interview process: One stage
We are supporting a major UK media business with an urgent requirement for a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Supply Chain Functional Consultant.
You will join an established delivery structure that includes an experienced internal D365 specialist and an implementation partner. This is a hands-on, business-facing role for someone who can work effectively within agreed solution designs and contribute from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Gather requirements and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders.
- Configure D365 F&O in line with agreed functional designs.
- Support supply chain processes, with a particular focus on Procurement and Inventory.
- Prepare test scripts and support SIT and UAT activities.
- Produce clear training materials and deliver training to operational and warehouse users.
- Support business readiness and change activities.
- Assist with cutover, go-live and post-launch hypercare.
- Work directly with operational teams to explain system and process changes in straightforward language.
- Occasionally travel to UK depots during training and go-live periods; expenses will be covered.

Required experience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Supply Chain Management.
- Strong functional knowledge of Procurement and Inventory.
- Experience delivering two or more D365 F&O implementations.
- Practical experience across the implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, training, cutover and hypercare.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- The ability to communicate technical and process changes clearly to non-technical users.
- Confidence working independently while following an established solution design and delivery structure.

Desirable experience
- Advanced Warehouse Management experience.
- Previous experience working with warehouse or depot-based operational teams.
- Strong business-readiness or change-management experience.
This role would suit a junior-to-mid-level consultant with genuine D365 F&O Supply Chain implementation experience. It is not a Lead or Solution Architect position, but the successful consultant must be comfortable taking ownership of their work and becoming productive quickly.
