Job Description
About the Role
Reporting to the Tech Strategy Director - Platform, the D365 Technology Project Manager plays a key role in delivering the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations programme across Sysco Europe. This position is responsible for leading one or more functional delivery PODs, working alongside Product Owners, Solution Architects, engineering, testing and business teams, the Europe PMO and partner teams. Acting as a hands-on delivery leader, the role brings structure, pace, and clarity to complex ERP change, applying Agile and Scrum practices alongside waterfall or hybrid controls where programme governance requires it.
We are offering a hybrid working contract. This role will be based at an agreed location, with travel as necessary to support delivery and engagement across our European markets, so you must be comfortable and flexible with travel and commuting for project and team meetings.
Responsibilities
The role typically manages delivery across two to three functional PODs, made up of functional, engineering, testing, business, and partner resources, and may include the management of permanent and contracted resources. It owns delivery plans from requirements through build, test, readiness, and deployment, managing scope, milestones, resources, and change impacts throughout. Day to day, the position facilitates sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, sprint reviews, show and tells, retrospectives, and Scrum of Scrums, and works with Product Owners to ensure user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals are clear, prioritized, and ready for the team.
Robust management of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies sits at the centre of the role, along with the early identification and practical resolution of anything blocking progress. The position is responsible for ensuring sprint outputs, milestones, decisions, and escalations are transparent and evidence-based, using Azure DevOps to track backlog, sprint progress, work items, dependencies, and delivery metrics. Working across the Sysco Europe Platform Team, the Europe PMO, connected business application teams, European technology leadership, and local market stakeholders, the role leads with clarity, pace, and empathy, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery partners across Europe.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have experience delivering Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or a comparable enterprise ERP programme, together with a proven track record of managing complex technology or ERP projects within a structured programme environment. They will bring practical experience leading Agile and Scrum teams, including facilitating ceremonies and managing sprint commitments, and a good understanding of the ERP delivery lifecycle covering requirements, configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, deployment readiness, and hypercare. Confidence using Azure DevOps for backlog management, reporting, and delivery tracking is essential, and experience of Microsoft Project or Jira is also useful. Awareness of finance, supply chain, warehouse, merchandising, or operational business processes is advantageous. They will be a strong communicator, able to translate complex delivery topics for both business and technology audiences, influence without direct authority, and challenge constructively. Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or AgilePM is desirable, and Scrum Master or SAFe certification is advantageous, although practical delivery experience matters most.
