Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Manager to own the full end-to-end solutioning across Microsoft Dynamics 365 FSCM domain. This is a senior, client-facing role that combines bid leadership, solution shaping, and new logo acquisition support with hands-on experience configuring D365 FSCM modules. The role also carries responsibility for strengthening account farming, driving incremental growth within existing clients, and mentoring junior team members and emerging delivery leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Bid Manager, leading RFI/RFP responses and proposal submissions end-to-end
  • Support opportunity qualification, solution shaping, estimation, and pricing
  • Develop and review Statements of Work (SOWs), commercial models, and client proposals
  • Support client workshops, discovery sessions, and D365 capability demonstrations
  • Present to senior stakeholders including C-suite during sales cycles
  • Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architects, and Marketing to refine offerings and GTM strategy
  • Drive pipeline progression and win conversion across new logo opportunities
  • Strengthen account farming across existing client engagements
  • Lead and structure client discovery, problem definition, and solution positioning to ensure clear articulation of business value and differentiators
  • Define high-level delivery approach and resource shape during pre-sales and mobilisation to ensure delivery readiness
  • Bring strong functional understanding to shape credible, delivery-backed solutions during sales cycles

Additional Leadership Expectations

  • Act as a bridge between Sales and Delivery to remove typical handover gaps
  • Provide mentorship to junior Project Managers and emerging leaders
  • Support practice growth and maturity including methods, templates, and governance frameworks
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery frameworks and best practices
  • Champion a culture of client-centricity, commercial awareness, and delivery excellence

Sales & Pipeline Contribution Expectations

This is a non-quota carrying role with measurable commercial accountability:

  • Support and influence £3m–£5m annual sales pipeline through active participation in pre-sales activities
  • Contribute to £1.5m–£3m annual revenue through deal influence and conversion support
  • Improve win rates across supported opportunities through strong delivery-led solutioning and client credibility
  • Drive £1m–£2m incremental revenue growth within existing accounts through account farming, scope expansion, and programme extensions
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers to maximise deal conversion and pipeline progression

Functional & Technical Expertise

  • 15–20 years' experience in D365 implementations and support
  • Hands-on experience across D365 Finance & Operations, Finance, SCM, CE (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service), HR modules
  • Working knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)

Pre-Sales & Commercial Capability

  • Strong pre-sales experience including opportunity qualification, RFI/RFP ownership, and bid leadership
  • Experience in SOW drafting, commercial modelling, and pricing (T&M, fixed price, milestones)
  • Demonstrated ability to shape deals and position delivery risk commercially

Delivery & Leadership

  • Proven track record managing large, multi-phase enterprise D365 programmes (migrations, upgrades, greenfield)
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and ensuring project profitability
  • Leadership across global delivery models with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience managing SLAs and post go-live support transitions

  • Contribution to sales pipeline and win rate
  • Quality and timeliness of proposals and RFI/RFP submissions
  • Delivery performance (on time, on budget, on scope)
  • Project profitability and margin achievement
  • Client satisfaction and stakeholder feedback
  • Contribution to account growth and farming revenue
  • Practice maturity improvement and PM team development
