Da Vinci Robotic Clinical Leader

Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital | Theatre Nursing
Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 Hours)
£55,000 (DOE)

We are looking for a Da Vinci Robotic Clinical Leader for our Hospital to help us build a healthier nation. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and post-registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. With strong clinical leadership, you will guide your team with a shared vision, promoting innovation and sustainability. As a clinical leader, you will have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, knowledge, and understanding of running a smooth & effective department equipment is also essential.

An exciting new job opportunity for the Da Vinci Robotic Clinical Leader - requirement for a new position to support the growth, development, and innovation, as well as the implementation of the Da Vinci robot and working alongside the Consultants in ensuring that cases are run safely, effectively, as well as efficiently. The Robotic Clinical Leader will form a significant portion of the Leadership Theatre team, which is undergoing changes to strive towards the hospital strategy, interlinking the Theatre Manager's goals and visions to improve the department, as well as working towards the Nuffield Health 5 ambitions.

As our Clinical Leader, you will:

  • Conduct and organize the Clinical/ Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, which include the smooth running of the theatre lists and organizing booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres
  • Have previous experience and knowledge of working within robotic surgery and specialities such as general, bariatric, urology, and gynaecology
  • Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, which include Endoscopy, General, Orthopedics, Gynae
  • Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement, and ensure policies and procedures to enhance patient care and service delivery
  • Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment
  • Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training
