About the job you're considering

Capgemini works with some of the world’s largest brands on some of the most interesting and complex transformation programmes in modern IT. The Salesforce Delivery Unit is one of the fastest growing areas within Capgemini UK and focuses on helping clients realise business value through Salesforce, AI, customer data, digital engagement and marketing transformation.

You’ll be working across a wide spectrum of industry sectors, from Consumer Products, Automotive and Retail through to Financial Services, Telecommunications and Public Sector. You’ll work alongside solution architects, technical architects, developers, data engineers, testers, marketing specialists and business stakeholders to deliver innovative customer engagement solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Salesforce Data 360.

You’ll experience significant variety in this role. One day you could be building a Data 360 identity resolution process, the next configuring Marketing Cloud Next journeys, troubleshooting integrations with enterprise platforms, or supporting the deployment of AI-enabled customer engagement solutions. You’ll work as part of multidisciplinary delivery teams while developing deep expertise across Salesforce, customer data, marketing technology and AI.

Your role

Working closely with architects, senior developers and clients, you’ll analyse requirements and user stories before configuring, developing and testing solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Salesforce Data 360.

You’ll play a key role in turning approved solution designs into secure, scalable and maintainable implementations. You’ll work across customer data, segmentation, journeys, integrations, activation, reporting and automation capabilities, helping clients create connected customer experiences powered by trusted customer data.

You’ll contribute throughout the delivery lifecycle, from discovery and solution design support through build, testing, deployment, release management and ongoing optimisation. Whatever the project, you’ll indulge your passion for Salesforce, customer data and marketing technology while developing your technical capabilities and building strong relationships with clients and delivery teams. Qualities like these will help you become a trusted member of our Salesforce delivery practice and a key contributor to successful client outcomes.

What you’ll do

You will configure and develop Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Salesforce Data 360 solutions in line with approved architecture, delivery standards and user stories.

  • You’ll create and maintain Data Lake Objects, Data Model Objects, data streams, mappings, transformation logic and customer data models.
  • You’ll support the implementation and testing of identity resolution rulesets, unified customer profiles, calculated insights, segments and activation targets.
  • You’ll build and maintain Marketing Cloud Next audiences, campaigns, flows, event triggers, personalisation rules and reusable orchestration components.
  • You’ll configure customer engagement journeys that leverage trusted customer data to deliver relevant and personalised customer experiences.
  • You’ll develop integrations using Salesforce APIs, Data Cloud connectors, Salesforce Flow, middleware platforms and event-driven integration patterns.
  • You’ll support the migration and transformation of legacy marketing automation capabilities into Marketing Cloud Next and Data 360.
  • You’ll assist in the migration of automations, journeys, subscriber data, campaign logic, content and preference structures from legacy marketing platforms.
  • You’ll implement consent management, preference management, suppression, retention and communication governance requirements in accordance with agreed solution designs.
  • You’ll create and maintain SQL queries, transformation logic, API payloads, technical documentation, mapping specifications and deployment documentation.
  • You’ll work closely with architects and senior developers to ensure solutions align with approved designs, security requirements and technical standards.
  • You’ll support release planning, deployment activities, environment management and post-release validation activities.
  • You’ll follow source control, deployment, continuous integration and release management processes to ensure high-quality solution delivery.
  • You’ll collaborate with security, governance and architecture teams to ensure solutions follow secure-by-design principles and enterprise standards.
  • You’ll identify technical risks, dependencies and implementation challenges, escalating issues appropriately when architectural guidance is required.
  • You’ll support the creation of technical documentation, support documentation and operational handover materials.
  • You’ll develop your expertise across Salesforce Data 360, Marketing Cloud Next, Agentforce and Salesforce AI capabilities while supporting enterprise-scale transformation programmes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
