Data Access Management Specialist

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Data Access Management Specialist to manage secure and appropriate access across government data platforms. The role will focus on IAM, access governance, and implementing access controls across Microsoft Entra ID, Palantir Foundry, and Databricks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end access provisioning, reviews, recertification, and revocation.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, including PIM, Conditional Access, groups, service principals, and entitlement management.
  • Manage access controls in Palantir Foundry, including dataset permissions, markings, and security models.
  • Manage Databricks / Unity Catalog permissions, workspace access, and table/column-level security.
  • Implement RBAC, ABAC, least-privilege, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Automate access provisioning/deprovisioning using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, or Azure Logic Apps.
  • Maintain access logs, audit trails, and compliance evidence.
  • Identify and remediate excessive permissions, access risks, and orphaned accounts.
  • Support security, audit, privacy, and governance requirements.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in Access Management, IAM, Identity Governance, Information Security, or Data Platform Administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry access management.
  • Practical experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog.
  • Strong knowledge of RBAC, ABAC, least privilege, Zero Trust, and access governance.
  • Experience in government or regulated data environments.
  • Experience with access automation and audit/compliance activities.
