Position: Data Activation Lead
Location: Bristol
Work Mode: 2 days per week in the office
About the Role:
As a Data Activation Lead, you will be responsible for driving the use of data and MarTech to deliver enhanced customer experiences, personalisation, and commercial outcomes.
You will lead the Data Activation team and work closely with Data, Digital, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Privacy, Risk, and external agencies to develop and deliver a value-driven activation strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop the Data Activation / MarTech team.
- Define and deliver strategic initiatives across Personalisation, Customer Tiering, and Targeted Support.
- Own data pipelines, customer data, and event data required for activation.
- Identify and deliver new Data & MarTech use cases to improve customer engagement and commercial performance.
- Manage and prioritise the Data Activation roadmap and backlog.
- Ensure MarTech solutions align with data architecture, security, compliance, and governance requirements.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to translate commercial and customer requirements into effective data solutions.
- Keep up to date with emerging MarTech and AI technologies and identify opportunities for innovation.

Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in Data Activation, MarTech, and cross-channel customer activation.
- Experience with enterprise MarTech platforms such as Segment, Braze, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake and Cloud Data Platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience leading Data, MarTech, CDP, or Digital Analytics teams.
- Strong understanding of Customer Data Platforms (CDP), customer/event data, data pipelines, and activation.
- Experience delivering personalisation, audience segmentation, and customer engagement solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Privacy, and Risk.
- Good understanding of GDPR, UK PECR, and Privacy by Design, ideally within a regulated environment.
- Experience integrating first- and third-party data across paid and owned marketing channels.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, governance, and delivery roadmaps.
- Ability to demonstrate measurable impact through engagement, conversion, ROI, CAC, or customer experience improvements.
