Data Activation Lead - Engagement Activation
Bristol (BS1) – Hybrid flexible working (2 days pw)
About the Role
This role drives the use of data to step-change our client experiences and commercial value, liaising with journey tribes and the wider Data and Digital areas to deliver client solutions through our MarTech stack. You will lead and develop the Data Activation team, helping them identify and accelerate business value across client contact channels, internal tribes, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver frameworks and plans for strategic priorities on MarTech, including Personalisation, Tiering, and Targeted Support.
- Own the data pipelines for Engagement Activation in our Cloud Data Warehouse for use in activation.
- Identify new use cases for data to improve client and commercial outcomes through our MarTech stack.
- Prioritise the backlog for Data Activation to ensure alignment with commercial and technical availability.
- Champion Privacy by Design across consent capture, preference management, and GDPR/UK PECR compliance.

About You

- Proven leadership in cross-channel activation using an Enterprise MarTech stack to drive commercial outcomes, ideally using Segment or similar, an Engagement Platform (e.g., Braze), and Snowflake within a regulated industry.
- Experience building and leading a multidisciplinary Data team, setting vision and OKRs, and coaching capability.
- Track record of owning requirements for activation-ready customer and event data products, models, and pipelines.
- Comfortable working in Cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) to perform complex analysis and underpin activation stacks.
- Strong background connecting first-party data to paid and owned channels (e.g., conversion APIs, server-side tagging, audience sync)
