Job Summary

Join HM Land Registry and help us deliver one of the UK's most significant digital transformation programmes.

As a Data Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the migration of Local Land Charges data from local authorities into HM Land Registry's digital Local Land Charges Register. Working as part of a supportive national team, you will help transform paper-based records into accurate digital information, ensuring high-quality data is available for customers across England and Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, has a keen eye for detail, and is looking to develop their administrative and digital skills while contributing to a programme of national importance.

Job Description

The Local Land Charges Register was launched by HM Land Registry to modernise and centralise Local Land Charges information. To support the migration of data from local authorities onto the digital register, we work collaboratively with local authority partners to access, extract, capture and improve data quality.

As a Data Administrator, you will work in both HM Land Registry offices and local authority settings, carrying out a range of administrative and data-focused activities. You will help scan and digitise records, input and validate data, support the creation of spatial information and work alongside local authority colleagues to help resolve data issues.

This role may include regular travel across England and Wales. You should be comfortable travelling nationally and, on occasion, staying away from home during the working week.

Main Duties

As a Data Administrator, You Will:

  • Provide administrative support to Local Authority Delivery Managers and colleagues across the Local Land Charges Programme.
  • Bulk scan local authority paper records in line with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Input Local Land Charges information from scanned images to create accurate digital records.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of spatial data linked to Local Land Charges records.
  • Work closely with local authority colleagues to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Identify, investigate and escalate complex data issues to relevant programme teams.
  • Liaise, under supervision, with suppliers and stakeholders to help coordinate solutions to data-related issues.
  • Travel to local authority offices to undertake scanning, data input and data cleansing activities.
  • Ensure data is handled accurately, securely and in accordance with agreed processes.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of programme objectives through effective teamwork and collaboration.

What We Offer

In return, we offer:

  • The opportunity to contribute to a nationally important digital transformation programme.
  • Full training to help you develop a strong understanding of Local Land Charges and the work of HM Land Registry.
  • A supportive and inclusive working environment where everyone is encouraged to succeed.
  • The chance to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, developing valuable professional skills and experience.
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities to support your career growth.
  • The opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic, collaborative and purpose-driven national team.
  • Excellent support from experienced colleagues across the organisation.
  • Access to the Civil Service Pension Scheme and a comprehensive employee benefits package.
  • Flexible working opportunities where business needs allow.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
