About the Role

We seek a strategic leader to design, implement, and operationalise our global Data & AI Governance framework. This high-impact role ensures data and AI are trusted, compliant, and leveraged responsibly across underwriting, claims, finance, and other areas—balancing innovation with rigorous control.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the enterprise Data Governance operating model
  • Chair Data & AI Governance Committees and influence senior stakeholders
  • Establish policies for:
    • Data classification
    • Data quality
    • Data retention
    • Data access
  • Build and implement AI Governance aligned with:
    • EU AI Act
    • GDPR
    • Global regulatory frameworks
  • Oversee:
    • Model risk management
    • AI lifecycle governance
    • Third-party AI usage compliance
  • Drive transparency in data quality, metadata management, and data lineage
  • Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, and business teams to embed governance-by-design
  • Enable self-service data and AI across business domains

Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years in data governance, risk management, or data leadership roles
  • Proven expertise in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services regulation
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • GDPR
    • AI governance frameworks
    • Model risk management
  • Experience with governance tooling (e.g., Collibra, Purview, Erwin)
  • Strong understanding of AWS-based data ecosystems
  • Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders effectively
