Overview
A leading financial services institution is seeking a Senior / Lead Data Analyst to join a business-facing data team. This role will work closely with stakeholders across the bank to deliver data-driven insights, support strategic decision-making, and help drive the organisation's cloud-based data transformation initiatives.
The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and stakeholder management skills with hands-on expertise in modern cloud data technologies, data modelling, reporting, and ETL development.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data solutions and actionable insights.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Design, develop, and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions for business users.
- Build and optimise data pipelines and ETL processes within a cloud environment.
- Support data quality, governance, and data management initiatives.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, product owners, and business teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in data analytics methodologies and reporting capabilities.

Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, Lead Data Analyst, or similar role within banking or financial services.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Advanced knowledge of BigQuery for data analysis and optimisation.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using Cloud Composer.
- Strong Python programming skills for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with business intelligence and visualisation tools, including:
- Looker
- Qlik Sense
- Excellent SQL and data modelling expertise.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business analysis skills.
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments.
