About The Role
The role at GamCare offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to our mission of supporting individuals impacted by gambling addiction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality counseling and support services to clients, developing and implementing educational initiatives, and contributing to the organization’s strategic goals. This position requires a compassionate individual with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of mental health and addiction issues, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in expanding our outreach efforts and ensuring that clients receive the personalized care they need to recover and thrive.

Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
- Certification or accreditation in addiction counseling is highly desirable
- Minimum of three years of experience working with individuals experiencing mental health or addiction issues
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
- Familiarity with the latest addiction treatment methods, risk assessment tools, and safeguarding policies
- Proactive approach to professional development and commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Responsibilities
- Provide confidential counseling and support to clients affected by gambling addiction, ensuring a safe and non-judgmental environment.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, risks, and treatment goals.
- Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Deliver educational workshops and awareness campaigns to promote responsible gambling and prevent gambling-related harm.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, social services, and community organizations to facilitate holistic care and support networks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and organizational development activities to enhance service quality and professional skills.
- Contribute to research and evaluation projects aimed at improving service delivery and understanding gambling-related issues.
