I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The work is varied and the problems are always interesting. The best analysts here are as interested in asking the right question as they are in answering it.

What You'll Do

  • Analyse commercial and marketing performance data to surface meaningful insight that supports better decisions
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their goals, frame the right questions and deliver findings that are relevant and actionable
  • Dig into commercial trends to understand not just what is happening, but why, and what to do about it
  • Present findings clearly and confidently to both analytical and non-analytical audiences
  • Use AI tools and modern analytics platforms to work efficiently and produce high quality output
  • Bring energy and ideas to an experienced, engaged team

What We're Looking For:

Essential

  • Experience in a data analysis role, ideally in a commercial environment with high data volumes
  • Analytical curiosity and the ability to ask the right questions, not just answer the ones given to you
  • Good commercial judgement and the ability to interpret data in a business context
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex findings to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with SQL or similar data querying tools
  • Confidence using AI productivity tools for analysis, research, writing and presentation, and an appetite to keep developing these skills
  • Ability to work effectively with incomplete information and loosely defined problems
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build trust with stakeholders across different functions
