Contract Data Analyst (Meter Volumes & Forecasting)

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Contract Data Analyst specialising in meter volumes and forecasting. This role will play a key part in supporting operational planning, forecasting accuracy and performance reporting across large-scale smart metering programmes, helping drive data-led decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain forecasting models for meter installations, exchanges, removals and associated operational activity.
  • Analyse historical performance, seasonal trends and demand drivers, providing variance and root-cause analysis against forecasts.
  • Develop operational reports, dashboards and actionable insights to support capacity planning and senior stakeholder decision-making.

Skills Required

  • Advanced Excel skills, including data modelling, Power Query, pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Strong forecasting, statistical analysis and performance-reporting capabilities, with confidence working across large operational datasets.
  • Experience with SQL and Power BI, combined with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear commercial insights.

Education & Work Experience

  • Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in data analysis, statistics, mathematics, business intelligence or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a Data Analyst, Forecasting Analyst, MI Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst role within a fast-paced operational environment.
