About Albany Beck

Albany Beck is an award-winning consultancy specialising in Technology, Risk and Compliance primarily within Financial Services. We work with top tier Investment Banks, Asset Management firms, Hedge Funds and FinTech's.

Client Deployment Role Description

Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Cash Processing Data Analyst to support a Finance Transformation programme within a leading insurance organisation.

The role will focus on analysing and documenting a business-critical cash processing solution that currently relies on a large, complex Excel-based data repository. With increasing transaction volumes and growing operational dependency on the existing process, the programme aims to define and deliver a more stable, controlled and scalable solution.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Data and Transformation stakeholders to understand the current cash processing environment, document data flows and controls, define requirements and support the design of a future-state solution that can potentially be leveraged across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document the existing end-to-end cash processing process and associated data flows.
  • Map multiple data feeds, manual adjustments, reconciliations and journal upload processes.
  • Identify key operational controls, dependencies, pain points and areas of operational risk.
  • Gather and document high-level business, data and control requirements.
  • Analyse large and complex datasets supporting Finance processes.
  • Support the definition of the target-state cash processing solution and High-Level Solution Design (HLSD).
  • Help develop an entity-agnostic solution that can be used across different parts of the organisation.
  • Work closely with Finance, Data, Technology and Transformation stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate data governance and control requirements are incorporated into the future-state design.
  • Support the development of the business case required to progress the programme into the delivery phase.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
