About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join a global organization based in Solihull. This is a unique opportunity to be the sole Data Analyst in the UK, working directly with the head of Technology and the broader data team to unlock the power of data and drive strategic business decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, identifying key trends, and providing actionable insights that influence operational and strategic initiatives. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where data-driven decision-making is central to business growth and innovation. The position requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills in SQL and data visualization tools, capable of communicating complex findings to senior leadership effectively.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and analytical mindset, including:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or Google Analytics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Experience presenting insights and findings to senior stakeholders in a clear, concise, and commercially focused manner.
- Ability to commute to Solihull five days a week.
- Prior experience working with cloud-based data platforms like Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, is preferred.
- A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory for highly experienced candidates.
Responsibilities
The successful Data Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of activities, including:
- Analyzing business and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Developing forecasting models to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and presentations tailored for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
- Proactively identifying potential issues through data analysis before they escalate into business problems.
- Manipulating and querying large datasets using SQL to extract meaningful insights.
- Working with data stored within Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, to support data-driven initiatives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Ensuring data quality and integrity throughout all analysis processes.
