About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Performance Team at West Midlands Police. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the capture, analysis, and presentation of performance data across the Force. Your work will contribute to operational decision-making, strategic planning, and overall organizational effectiveness. You will collaborate with colleagues from various departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of performance information, develop insightful dashboards, and generate reports that inform leadership and operational teams. Under the guidance of a Performance Analyst or Performance Manager, this position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical skills within a dynamic policing environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail. A minimum of a GCSE or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, English, or a related field is required. A degree or relevant experience in data analysis, statistics, or information management is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms will be advantageous. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, validation, and maintenance of performance data across various systems and sources.
- Develop and update dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into operational performance.
- Analyze performance trends and identify areas for improvement or further investigation.
- Support the preparation of performance reviews and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and tools.
- Maintain documentation related to data sources, methodologies, and reporting standards.
- Stay informed about best practices in data analysis and visualization relevant to policing and public safety.
