DATA ANALYST
REMOTE (UK)
UP TO £55,000
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Data Analyst with a strong finance background to join a growing, data-driven organisation. Sitting within a small finance team and reporting to the Finance Director, you'll play a key role in improving reporting, strengthening data quality, and supporting business decision-making through financial and operational insights.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Data Analyst will:
- Own and develop finance reporting and management information.
- Support quarterly forecasting processes and maintain financial models covering forecasts, business plans, and cash flow.
- Reconcile data across Xero, SQL, and Power BI environments.
- Manage and upload finance and operational data.
- Produce board-level reporting on cash performance, operational metrics, and key business KPIs.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, variances, and performance against expectations.
- Build new reports and enhance existing reporting processes.
- Investigate data discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with finance, technology, and data stakeholders to improve reporting capabilities.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- Strong accounting or finance background with experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
- Practical experience using SQL and Power BI.
- Experience working with large datasets, reconciliations, and data validation.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data and communicate findings clearly.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
