Data Analyst (Affiliates) - Racing & Sports Betting Media 🏇📊
Pulse is partnering with a well-established media and tech business in the racing and sports betting space, as they look for a Data Analyst to sit inside their Affiliates growth team.
You'll sit within the wider Data Intelligence Unit with a dotted line into the Affiliate Growth Team, working closely with the Affiliate Director.
This is a role for someone who wants to go beyond dashboards and reporting - the team's looking for an analyst who genuinely enjoys getting under the skin of the data, forming their own hypotheses and coming back with real recommendations, not just numbers. Which bookmakers are performing best, what positions and times convert, which offers actually drive LTV - that's the kind of thinking they want feeding straight into the sales team.

What you'll be doing:
- Going beyond BAU reporting to spot trends, patterns and opportunities across customer behaviour, lifecycle and product engagement
- Working closely with squads, product and leadership to shape hypotheses and turn analysis into insight that actually moves decisions
- Modelling the data yourself in SQL and Python rather than just querying and dumping it
- Building out measurement frameworks and test-and-learn approaches to evaluate what's working
- Automating the recurring reporting so more time goes into the high-value insight work
- Translating all of this into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders who won't all be as data-fluent as you

What they're looking for:
- Around 1-2 years' experience and ready for the next step up
- Affiliate background is preferred
- Strong SQL and solid working Python (pandas, numpy) - you need to be able to model, not just extract
- Comfortable presenting findings and holding your ground, without being combative about it - they're after "blue-green" energy, not a "red" or a "yellow"
- A genuine interest in understanding new, messy datasets quickly
📍 Location: London, 3 days a week, anchor days Tuesday and Wednesday
