Working with a local authority focused on delivering essential public services, this organisation plays a crucial role in managing and transforming public sector data. They are seeking a skilled professional to drive critical data migration initiatives, moving from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
The Role
- Review outputs from initial discovery phases and analyse existing datasets for quality.
- Develop comprehensive data mapping and migration strategies.
- Execute data migration from legacy systems to new cloud platforms.
- Provide expert recommendations on migration approaches, risks, and timelines.
- Support successful implementation and completion of migration projects.
- Extract, package, and prepare data for secure transmission via SFTP.

What You'll Need
- Strong experience in data migration projects.
- Expertise in data design and structuring data for new systems.
- Proven ability in data mapping, including matching and transforming data between source and target systems.
- Experience migrating data from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
- Ability to assess data quality, identify issues, and recommend migration approaches.
- Public sector experience is preferred, understanding data management and governance in this domain.
