About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team in a pivotal role that supports our mission to assist individuals struggling with gambling-related issues. This position involves providing expert guidance, counseling, and support to clients, as well as developing educational resources and outreach initiatives to promote responsible gambling. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of behavioral health, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a meaningful difference in people's lives. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic, supportive environment where your efforts directly contribute to reducing gambling harm and enhancing community well-being.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses in counseling, therapy, or addiction treatment are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in behavioral health, addiction counseling, or related fields.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse client populations.
  • Knowledge of gambling behaviors, addiction treatment modalities, and harm reduction strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential counseling and support services to individuals experiencing gambling-related problems, assessing their needs and developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments, offer harm reduction advice, and facilitate behavioral change interventions.
  • Develop and deliver educational workshops, seminars, and outreach activities to raise awareness about gambling risks and responsible gambling practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, social services, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, treatment techniques, and policy developments related to gambling addiction and behavioral health.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to ensure continuous professional development and quality service delivery.
