About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our dynamic team on a hybrid basis, requiring a minimum of 8 days per month in our London office. This pivotal role involves transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making and enhance our service delivery. As a key contributor, you will analyze diverse datasets, identify trends, and develop meaningful reports and dashboards that monitor performance and demonstrate the impact of our initiatives. Your insights will support evidence-based improvements across our services, helping us better understand outcomes and optimize our operations. Additionally, you will review and enhance data systems and processes, developing automated solutions to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency. Collaboration with colleagues across service, data, and IT teams will be essential to ensure data accessibility, integrity, and usability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence organizational strategies through data-driven insights while contributing to a cause that makes a real difference in people's lives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in Power BI, including proficiency in semantic models, star schemas, DAX, calculated columns, hierarchies, and performance optimization techniques. Experience with Power Query Editor and M Language is essential, along with familiarity with Power BI datasets, dataflows, and semantic layers. Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, testing, and validating data from multiple sources are required. You should have a proven track record working with large, complex datasets in analytical or data-focused roles, delivering reports, insights, and strategic recommendations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are vital, complemented by meticulous attention to detail. Knowledge of data governance, GDPR compliance, and handling sensitive data responsibly is also necessary. The ability to manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively across teams, and identify system and process improvements will be key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing complex datasets to uncover trends and opportunities
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and datasets that support organizational performance monitoring
  • Translating data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for various stakeholders
  • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Developing automated reporting solutions to streamline processes
  • Collaborating with service, data, and IT teams to optimize data access and usability
  • Reviewing existing systems and processes, recommending improvements to enhance data quality and operational efficiency
  • Maintaining documentation of data systems and ensuring compliance with data governance policies
  • Contributing to fostering a data-driven culture within GamCare by providing training and support to colleagues on data interpretation and usage
