The Role

Data Analyst

  • Support the Senior Data Analyst to develop insightful reports and key performance indicators for internal and external clients
  • Asset reporting: Develop an understanding of the relevant business processes in order to accurately track and report on asset movements, both internally and externally
  • Support work to integrate and reconcile client-supplied data against internal datasets, and develop client-facing reports to support account management activity.
  • Assist the Senior Data Analyst with third-party service provider requests and queries.
  • Develop and implement automated ETL and data exchange mechanisms to minimise manual activity and improve accuracy of reporting
  • Assist the Senior Data Analyst with a review of the current portfolio of reports and migration to Power BI where required
  • Ability to complete one-off data and analytical tasks using a variety of data sources
  • Work with internal stakeholders to establish a rigorous process for reviewing report content prior to publication
  • Undertake ad-hoc data analysis as required to support internal and/or client requests

Skills and Attributes

  • Candidates should be comfortable working with requests that may initially be partially ambiguous and be able to clarify requirements with stakeholders to help determine the appropriate approach.
  • Previous experience in data analysis & handling datasets
  • Competent in manipulating data and presenting data outputs
  • Good tactical knowledge of SQL Server
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience of interacting with clients on a regular basis
  • Experience in the development and management of reports & dashboards
  • Experience using Power BI
