Job Description
We are looking for a Data Analyst reporting into the Head of Data in our Nottingham office. You will manage the delivery of high-quality data solutions that support client, operational, and business objectives. Working within the Data Delivery team, you will combine technical capability with stakeholder engagement to ensure data products are delivered accurately, efficiently.
You can analyse, transform, and validate complex datasets using SQL or SAS, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, mitigate risks, and enhance existing data products. Experience with Python, R, VBA, or other modern data tooling would be advantageous.
As a key member of the team, the Data Analyst acts as a trusted partner to stakeholders. You will translate business requirements into data solutions, managing delivery expectations, and ensuring a high standard of customer service throughout the delivery lifecycle.
You will also play an important part in developing team capability through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and supporting the growth of junior analysts.

- Relationship Management
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, developing a clear understanding of their business requirements and objectives.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into effective data deliverables and solutions.
- Manage client expectations and proactively address queries, issues, and risks.
- Deliver excellent customer outcomes by ensuring solutions are accurate, valuable, and fit for purpose.

Data Delivery & Analysis
- Own and deliver data extracts, reports, and analytical outputs to agreed quality, scope, and timelines.
- Use SQL, SAS, and other analytical tools to interrogate, manipulate, and validate complex datasets.
- Apply robust validation and quality assurance processes to all deliverables.
- Investigate data-related issues and client queries, conducting root cause analysis and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support the delivery of proof-of-concepts, new products, and data-driven solutions.

Operational Excellence
- Plan, prioritise, and manage workload across multiple deliveries and projects.
- Provide accurate effort estimates and delivery timescales.
- Monitor progress against commitments and escalate risks or issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, increase efficiency, and reduce operational risk.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of team practices, documentation, and standards.

Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all deliveries comply with regulatory, contractual, and internal governance requirements.
- Maintain awareness of data protection, security, and compliance obligations.
- Identify, assess, and help mitigate operational and delivery risks.
- Support audit, governance, and control activities where required.

Collaboration & Leadership
- Support and coach junior team members, sharing technical expertise and best practice.
- Lead or actively contribute to delivery reviews, project discussions, and problem-solving sessions.
- Champion knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the team.
Qualifications
- Required
- Strong SQL and/or SAS programming skills.
- Experience working with complex datasets and data transformation processes.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience investigating and resolving data-related issues.
