Data Analyst (Permanent) | London
Our client, a respected international organisation working in education and culture, is hiring Data Analyst to join a growing product analytics team. This is live work with global reach: your analysis shapes decisions on digital English-language learning products used by learners around the world.
The role
You'll turn learner, product and commercial data into insight that people act on. Day to day, you will:
- Write and optimise SQL queries and build and maintain Power BI dashboards
- Analyse product features, customer journeys, funnels, engagement and pricing initiatives
- Develop and track KPIs, and help benchmark performance
- Work with Product, Marketing, Sales and Operations teams to turn business questions into measurable metrics
- Improve data quality, reporting standards and automation

The role is roughly 70% hands-on technical work and 30% business partnering.
Who we're looking for
We need someone who can clearly explain what they do: how they got to an answer, why it matters and where the data needs to go next. You'll be talking to both technical and non-technical colleagues, so we want an analyst who owns their work, makes sound decisions independently and can present findings with confidence, not one who waits to be told what to do.
Essential
- 3–5 years' experience in data, BI or product analytics
- Strong SQL / MySQL
- Power BI dashboard development
- Experience developing and tracking KPIs for digital products or services
- Experience with customer journey and funnel analysis, and with GA4 or similar tools
- Ability to turn data into clear, actionable insight, and to communicate it well
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders

Desirable
- Python or other engineering experience
- Experience in EdTech, subscription or digital learning (not required; other sectors welcome)
- Looker or Tableau, A/B testing, CRM or marketing automation tools
- Data governance or data quality experience
