About the role

As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the business make better use of its data. Working at the intersection of data, technology, and business operations, you will transform complex information into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making across the organisation.

You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of data solutions through processes such as extracting, cleansing, and transforming data from a variety of business systems, including property management and financial platforms. By ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and accessible, you will help create a trusted foundation for reporting and analysis.

Working closely with colleagues across Property Management, Accounts, Building Consultancy, and other service lines, you will scope and deliver data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual reporting processes, and enhance access to business-critical information.

The role offers a balance of technical and stakeholder-facing responsibilities. You will analyse large and often complex datasets, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities, before translating your findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

As part of a growing Data Analytics function, you will also contribute to the development of data standards, governance frameworks, and best practices while helping to foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

What matters most in this role

Success in this role will be driven by your ability to combine strong technical capability with commercial awareness. You will be comfortable working with large datasets, developing scalable solutions, and ensuring data accuracy at every stage of the analytical process.

Equally important is your ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively. You should be able to translate complex data findings into straightforward recommendations that support decision-making and create value for stakeholders across the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Other duties will include

  • Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that provide timely, accurate visibility of key business metrics.
  • Creating and managing structured datasets, semantic models, and reusable query logic to support reporting requirements.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of Microsoft Fabric solutions, including data warehouses, Lakehouses, and semantic models.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of data standards, documentation, and governance processes.
  • Participating in knowledge-sharing activities, peer reviews, and collaborative problem-solving within the Data Analytics team.
  • Monitoring developments in data analytics technologies and recommending innovative approaches that add value to the business.

What we expect of you

  • You will have 2-3 years' experience in a Data Analyst or similar data-focused role, with a proven track record of delivering analytical outputs that support business decisions.
  • You will possess strong SQL skills and be confident writing, optimising, and troubleshooting queries against relational databases independently. A solid working knowledge of Python is also important.
  • You will have hands-on experience using Power BI, including DAX, alongside advanced Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and dashboard creation. Experience working with semantic models and centralised data platforms would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable, including familiarity with OneLake, Data Warehouses, Lakehouses, pipelines, shortcuts, and semantic models within the Fabric ecosystem.
  • You will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and delivery.
  • You will be a strong communicator and collaborative team player, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels while also taking ownership of your own projects.
