About The Role
Brookson is currently seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join the Data & Analytics team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is primarily focused on supporting the organization during a maternity leave cover period. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in investigating complex data sets, developing insightful reports, and creating analytical solutions that drive strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the business to understand their data needs and translate these into technical solutions that provide actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, particularly in SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, and data quality management, coupled with a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably within a financial or professional services environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with Power BI for report development and data visualization.
- Familiarity with Alteryx or similar data preparation and workflow automation tools.
- Solid understanding of data quality principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain detailed reports and dashboards using Power BI to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Design and implement data models and analytical solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather data needs and translate these into technical specifications.
- Ensure data integrity and quality through rigorous validation and cleansing processes.
- Automate data workflows using Alteryx or similar tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Document data processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistency and reproducibility.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to data analytics and visualization.
