Full Description
Hiredbuddy is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our growing analytics team. In this remote role, you will work with cross-functional partners to collect, process, and interpret data that informs everything from product improvements to operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to build a strong foundation in data analysis while contributing to real business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Cleaning & Preparation: Work with large datasets from various sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness. You will use tools like Excel and SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data for analysis.
- Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Apply basic statistical methods to answer business questions and support decision-making.
- Visualization & Reporting: Create clear and compelling visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI, and build dashboards that monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare regular reports for stakeholders, translating data into easy-to-understand narratives.
- Collaboration: Partner with senior analysts, marketing, and product teams to understand their data needs. Help define metrics and ensure reporting aligns with business goals.
- Ad-Hoc Requests: Respond to time-sensitive data requests from management, providing accurate and timely insights.
- Continuous Learning: Stay curious and up-to-date with the latest tools and best practices in data analytics. Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions.

Tools & Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) is essential.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases.
- Familiarity with Python (especially pandas) is a plus but not required.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Understanding of basic statistics (mean, median, standard deviation, correlation).

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of experience in data analysis or a related role (internships count)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data querying
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
