About The Role

We are currently seeking a meticulous and analytical Data Analyst to join a distinguished financial services company. This is an office-based role offering excellent career progression opportunities, comprehensive training, and attractive benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for consulting with a portfolio of 10-20 corporate clients, each with unique data requirements. Your primary focus will be on managing the development, production, and delivery of tailored data sets that support financial organizations in making informed decisions. You will play a vital role in analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities for reporting improvements, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic initiatives. The role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and data security.

Qualifications

  • Strong numeracy or analytical degree, demonstrating the ability to interpret complex data and identify meaningful patterns.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within a financial or corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing and engaging with clients effectively.
  • Proficiency in structuring and writing comprehensive technical reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify areas for process or reporting improvements.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including working with large datasets, statistical functions, and macros (training provided).
  • Determined, resilient attitude with a positive outlook.
  • Candidates should live locally to Bromley, Orpington, Sidcup, or Chislehurst, as the position is office-based.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high levels of professionalism and responsibility, maintaining strict adherence to data security protocols.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, delivering excellent service by gathering, collating, and analyzing data effectively.
  • Design, specify, and develop Excel data sets in collaboration with colleagues and clients to meet their analytical needs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, including competitor activities, customer data, technological advancements, regulatory changes, and political influences.
  • Utilize market insights to identify opportunities for reporting enhancements and process improvements.
  • Provide detailed and insightful analysis of current trends, anomalies, and performance patterns from numerical reports to support clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for meetings with clients, directors, and principal consultants.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and continuously seek ways to improve data analysis and reporting processes.
