WHO WE ARE
Apprentify Group is a portfolio of six specialist companies, each with its own culture, personality and people. Together, we support more than 10,000 learners a year and work with 200+ employers across the UK across data, tech, AI, leadership, sales and digital marketing.
As an Ofsted Outstanding provider and a specialist in AI, data and tech apprenticeships, we're growing quickly and becoming increasingly data-led in how we make decisions.
We need a Data Analyst ready to turn complex data into clear insight, building the reporting, dashboards and analysis that help our board, senior leadership and teams understand how the business is performing and make better commercial decisions.
THE QUICK FACTS
- Location: Wilmslow office initially, moving to hybrid once settled
- Contract: Full-time, permanent
- Salary: £30,000–£32,000 depending on experience
- Start: Immediate or near-term
- Reports to: Project Director
- Level: Junior to mid-level, we're hiring for potential
LIFE IN THE ROLE
The real work
- Most of your time will be spent building and maintaining dashboards and management reporting, analysing operational and commercial KPIs, bringing together data from different systems and turning numbers into insight that people across the group can actually use.
- You'll work with data from areas including learner management systems, HubSpot, finance platforms such as Xero, sales and operations.
- You'll also write and maintain SQL queries, investigate data quality issues and help create a single, reliable view of performance across the group.
- You'll also work directly with teams across sales, product, operations, marketing and finance, translating loosely defined questions into clear analysis and presenting your findings to senior, non-technical audiences.
- This is a role where your work will be visible. Your reporting will support board and senior leadership discussions, major enterprise accounts and group-wide growth initiatives.
The environment
- You'll be based in our Wilmslow office initially. That's deliberate getting to know the business, our people and how our data fits together is an important part of the role. Once you're established and settled, we'll agree a hybrid working pattern together.
- You won't be handed a perfect specification every time. Requests may come from several stakeholders at once, sometimes as a fairly messy brief. You'll need to ask the right questions, work out what's actually needed and take ownership of getting to a useful answer.
Team & Culture
- You'll join a central, group-wide function, working closely with sales, product, operations, marketing and finance across our different brands.
- How we work: Clear expectations, genuine ownership of how you deliver against them. You'll have the opportunity to shape how we report, measure and understand performance rather than simply maintaining existing reports.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
THE HONEST HARD BIT
- The data won't always be clean and the questions won't always be neatly packaged.
- You may have several stakeholders asking for different things at the same time, data coming from different systems that doesn't immediately align, or a request where the answer isn't obvious from the outset.
- You'll need to be comfortable investigating what's behind the numbers, challenging something when it doesn't add up and explaining what you've found clearly even when the answer isn't necessarily what someone wanted to hear.
- It's a growing business, so processes and reporting structures will continue to evolve. This role suits someone who sees that as an opportunity to build, improve and learn.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
✔ You enjoy turning data into clear, practical business insight
✔ You naturally question whether the numbers are accurate before presenting them
✔ You're comfortable working with SQL, Excel and a BI/reporting tool such as Power BI
✔ You can explain analysis clearly to people who aren't data specialists
✔ You're curious enough to challenge a brief or a figure when something doesn't add up
✔ You're comfortable operating in a scale-up environment, ambiguity included
This is NOT for you if:
✘ You need every task to come with a detailed step-by-step specification
✘ You prefer working with one clean dataset rather than investigating how different data sources connect
✘ You'd rather produce reports than understand what the numbers actually mean
✘ You're uncomfortable questioning data, assumptions or requests from stakeholders
✘ You need a fully structured corporate environment to do your best work
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience in a Data, MI or BI role, ideally producing reporting for managers or senior stakeholders
- Practical experience using SQL and an understanding of relational data
- Experience building reports or dashboards using Power BI, Excel or a similar tool
- Experience bringing together data from more than one source, such as CRM, finance or operational systems
- Understanding of KPIs, performance measurement and business reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine focus on data quality
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing requests and deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain analysis simply to non-technical audiences
- Curiosity and confidence to challenge a brief, question a figure and investigate when something doesn't look right
