Looking for a role that combines data analytics, commercial insight, and strategic decision-making? This is an opportunity to join a high-performing finance and business performance function where you'll play a key role in transforming complex operational and financial data into actionable business insight. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll help shape reporting frameworks, support investment decision-making, and drive improvements across the reporting landscape.

The Company

This international professional services organisation operates across multiple markets and supports a diverse client base through advisory and consulting services. They are investing heavily in data, reporting, and business performance capabilities, creating an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Data Analyst to make a real impact.

The business is building a more mature data environment while continuing to enhance how performance and investment decisions are measured. As part of a collaborative and highly visible team, you'll have exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives across the organisation.

The Role

As a Data Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of business performance, reporting, and analytics, helping stakeholders understand profitability, performance, utilisation, and investment outcomes.

You will:

  • Collect, validate, and analyse operational and financial data from multiple business functions
  • Consolidate data from various sources and transform it into meaningful reporting outputs
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions using Excel and Power BI
  • Create board-level reporting packs and presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Analyse business performance, profitability, utilisation, and key commercial KPIs
  • Support investment performance reporting and strategic decision-making
  • Improve reporting processes, data quality, and reporting governance
  • Work with data warehouse outputs while managing data validation and reconciliation requirements
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insight
  • Act as a bridge between business users and technical data teams
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis to support commercial and operational objectives

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Commercial Analyst, or similar
  • A background within Financial Services, Consulting, Professional Services, or another KPI-driven corporate environment
  • Advanced Excel skills including complex reporting, data manipulation, XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, and SUMIFS
  • Strong Power BI experience covering dashboard development, data modelling, reporting, and Power Query
  • Good working knowledge of DAX and the ability to create meaningful business metrics and calculations
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Experience working with multiple datasets and handling fragmented or imperfect data
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to translate data into clear commercial insights and recommendations
  • A proactive approach to improving reporting processes and creating scalable solutions
