About The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial and Operational Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in providing actionable insights through rigorous analysis of financial and operational data, thereby supporting strategic decision-making and enhancing business performance. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between finance, operations, and business units, helping to optimize service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and increase profitability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization by translating complex data into clear, impactful insights that influence key business initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of relevant qualifications and practical experience. A professional qualification in Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred, though candidates with significant work experience will also be considered. Candidates should have between 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, management accounting, business analysis, or a commercial finance role, preferably within a service-oriented organization. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data modeling, is essential. Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is required. Knowledge of SQL or database querying is desirable. A solid understanding of financial statements, management accounting principles, cost analysis, and statistical forecasting techniques is necessary. Strong problem-solving skills, commercial acumen, and excellent communication abilities are critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports, comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts, and identifying variances, trends, and underlying drivers across service lines, business units, and regions.
  • Monitor key financial and operational metrics, including service delivery efficiency, utilization rates, productivity, quality indicators, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, recommending process improvements to enhance overall performance.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for operational initiatives and strategic projects to support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards to track operational KPIs, providing stakeholders with real-time visibility into performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including operations, sales, and leadership—to understand business challenges and translate complex data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Support the development of business cases for new services, contracts, investments, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide analytical support during contract negotiations, pricing reviews, and client profitability assessments.
  • Maintain and improve financial and operational reporting systems, dashboards, and data visualization tools, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across multiple sources.
  • Automate routine reporting processes, develop ad-hoc analyses, and recommend enhancements to analytical frameworks, reporting systems, and performance measurement tools.
