Position: Data Analyst

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Type: Permanent full time employed position

Hours: 40 hours per week Mon-Fri

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our growing team. This is a REMOTE role, however, there may be occasional requirements to travel to our head office based in Suffolk IP6 0FU. Applicants must therefore be within easy commuting distance.

About the Role

Do you enjoy working with people as much as you enjoy working with data?

We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing Data & Analytics team during an exciting period of transformation.

This role is about far more than reports and dashboards. We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, understanding business challenges, asking thoughtful questions, and helping stakeholders make better decisions through data.

The best analysts don't start with technology, they start with curiosity. They take time to understand the business problem before designing the solution. If you're naturally curious, enjoy understanding how things work, ask lots of questions, and take pride in producing high-quality work, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enjoys solving business problems
  • Builds strong stakeholder relationships
  • Wants to understand the "why" behind a request
  • Challenges assumptions constructively
  • Takes ownership and delivers outcomes
  • Produces high-quality work
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Is committed to continuous learning and development

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Technical Skills

You'll play a key role in our transition towards Microsoft Fabric, automated reporting, and self-service analytics.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

  • SQL
  • Stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering
  • Data analysis and insight generation
  • Reporting and data visualisation

Experience with Power BI, DAX, or Microsoft Fabric would be advantageous, but not essential. More important to us is a genuine willingness to learn and develop in these areas. If you have the right mindset, curiosity, and determination, we'll support your growth.

Development Opportunities

We can help you develop in:

  • Power BI
  • DAX
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Data modelling
  • Data warehousing
  • Agile delivery
  • Modern analytics practices

What We're Looking For

We're less interested in:

  • Buzzwords
  • Technical jargon
  • Dashboard factories
  • People who wait to be told what to do
  • Building solutions before understanding the problem

We're more interested in:

  • Curiosity
  • Communication
  • Critical thinking
  • Problem solving
  • Collaboration
  • Continuous improvement
  • Professional pride
  • Authenticity

We're not looking for someone who can simply build a dashboard. We're looking for someone who wants to understand the business problem first, engage with stakeholders, challenge assumptions where appropriate, and use data to help people make better decisions.

We're less interested in finding someone who knows everything already, and more interested in finding someone who asks great questions, enjoys solving meaningful problems, and is committed to continuously developing as an analytics professional.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

A Note on AI

We recognise the growing role AI can play in enhancing productivity, creativity, and learning, and we're actively exploring its application within our own Data & Analytics function.

However, throughout the recruitment process, we want to get to know you. We are interested in your experiences, your thought processes, your curiosity, and how you approach solving problems. Using AI as a tool to improve the presentation of an application is one thing; relying on it to represent your knowledge, abilities, or responses is another.

Applications, assessments, and interviews should reflect your own thinking and communication skills. Where we believe responses are not the candidate's own, we reserve the right to discontinue the recruitment process.

In short, we'd much rather meet an enthusiastic future analyst.
