About The Role
Our client, a prominent organization within the banking sector, is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the most significant data transformation initiatives in UK financial services. As a Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in transforming complex business requirements into trusted, scalable data solutions that support strategic decision-making. The position is based in Halifax, Leeds, or can be operated on a hybrid basis, providing flexibility to the right candidate. This contract spans six months, with potential for extension depending on project needs and performance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and a solid understanding of data analysis within the banking or financial services sector. Proven experience working with complex data landscapes, along with excellent communication skills, is essential to effectively translate technical insights into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices is required, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes and have experience with data lineage, data quality, and modern data platforms.

Responsibilities
- Transform and Analyse: Delve into customer journeys, data lineage, and end-to-end data flows to extract actionable insights that influence strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate: Engage closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and data engineers to define clear, actionable requirements that meet business needs.
- Investigate Data Lineage: Trace critical data from source to consumption, identifying dependencies and impacts to support engineering and data management teams.
- Shape Future Data Products: Contribute to the development of future-state data products by ensuring data quality, integrity, and trustworthiness, facilitating migration from legacy systems to modern solutions.
- Navigate Complexity: Use analytical rigor and curiosity to simplify complex data challenges into engineer-ready requirements aligned with business objectives.
