About The Role

Reed is currently seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a well-established organization on a 10-month contract basis. This role is based in Solihull with hybrid working arrangements, offering flexibility and a balanced work environment. As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role within the business intelligence and reporting function, supporting various stakeholders by delivering high-quality data analysis, management information, and performance reports. Your insights will be instrumental in driving operational improvements, informing strategic decisions, and enhancing overall service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, proficiency in data manipulation and visualization tools, and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects within a collaborative team environment, utilizing your skills to make a tangible impact on organizational performance.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Data Analyst, MI Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or Business Intelligence role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
  • Experience extracting, cleansing, validating, and analyzing data from multiple sources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting insights clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of data quality principles and best practices.

Desirable qualifications include experience with Power BI (including Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and report development), SQL, and familiarity with public sector, housing, or customer service environments. Knowledge of performance reporting and KPI analysis is also advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Producing regular and ad-hoc management information and performance reports to support business decision-making.
  • Extracting, cleansing, validating, and analyzing data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Developing interactive dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate key insights and trends.
  • Identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities through detailed data analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting performance monitoring frameworks and ensuring data consistency across reporting outputs.
  • Contributing to process improvements, automation of reports, and data management practices to increase efficiency.
  • Presenting complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Assisting in benchmarking activities and supporting the development of performance metrics and KPIs.
