We're hiring: Data Analyst
Do you like turning data into insight that makes a difference? Join our Examinations team at the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. Your work will help keep the exams that qualify the UK's emergency medicine doctors fair, robust and reliable.
What you'll be doing
- Running statistical analyses to check the validity and reliability of our exams
- Checking OSCE and SBA exam data to make sure results are accurate
- Writing clear reports on exam and candidate performance, and presenting findings to colleagues and examiners
- Managing our exam results database, including our annual data return to the GMC
- Working with our Head of Psychometrics on assessment research, quality assurance and examiner performance reviews

What you'll bring
- A degree in Statistics, Psychology, Maths or Science (or another degree with strong quantitative methods)
- Hands-on experience analysing large datasets: descriptive stats, regression, ANOVA, correlation
- Confidence with SPSS and Excel
- The ability to explain your findings clearly to people who aren't data specialists

Nice to have: an MSc, R, published research, or experience with test development and assessment theory (CTT/IRT). If you've worked in education, that's a bonus too.
