Data Analyst – AI & Insight
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + benefits
Location: London – Hybrid
Our client is a global luxury travel business investing significantly in its Data & AI capability and transforming how analysis is delivered across the organisation. They are building a more AI-first Data & Analytics function, with AI becoming embedded into how the team explores data, writes and reviews code, automates recurring analysis and produces commercial insight.
They are looking for a Data Analyst who combines strong analytical thinking, commercial curiosity and clear communication with a genuine interest in using AI as part of their everyday analytical workflow. This isn’t a traditional reporting or dashboarding role. You’ll use AI alongside tools such as SQL, BigQuery and Python to explore data, solve commercial problems and turn complex customer, marketing, sales and booking data into clear, actionable insight.
The Opportunity
- Join a growing Data & Analytics function where AI is becoming fundamental to how analysis is delivered
- Develop your use of AI, LLMs, code assistants and increasingly agentic workflows as part of your day-to-day analytical process
- Use AI to accelerate data exploration, generate and review code, automate repeatable analysis and validate outputs
- Analyse customer, marketing, sales and booking data across BigQuery, HubSpot, GA4 and advertising platforms
- Develop your SQL and broader technical capability while working with large and varied datasets
- Investigate commercial questions and understand why performance is changing, rather than simply reporting what happened
- Turn analysis into clear recommendations for Marketing, CRM, Growth and wider commercial teams
- Work closely with senior analysts and the Head of Data & Analytics while taking increasing ownership of your own work
- Build towards tackling increasingly complex and ambiguous analytical problems as your experience develops

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Responsibilities
- Use AI throughout the analytical process to explore data, generate and review code, automate tasks and accelerate analysis
- Query and analyse data using SQL and BigQuery, with opportunities to develop your Python capability
- Build your understanding of agentic AI workflows and how they can be applied to analytics
- Apply human judgement to AI-generated outputs and recognise when findings or code need to be challenged and validated
- Identify trends, anomalies and commercial opportunities within customer and business data
- Build reusable analysis rather than relying purely on recurring reports and dashboards
- Translate findings into clear, commercially relevant recommendations
- Communicate insight to stakeholders across Marketing, CRM, Growth, Sales and other commercial teams
- Work with senior analysts to develop your analytical judgement, technical capability and problem-solving approach
Your Profile
- 2+ years' experience within Data Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Customer Analytics, Insights or a related analytical role
- Already comfortable using AI within your work and keen to develop significantly further into AI-enabled and agentic ways of working
- Curious about using AI for analysis, coding, automation, debugging and validation rather than simply basic chat-based Q&A
- Some hands-on SQL experience and the ability to understand what a query is doing, even if you aren’t yet an advanced SQL developer
- Python experience is useful but not essential
- Strong analytical thinking and curiosity around why numbers move and what they mean for the business
- Comfortable working with raw data and developing your technical skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable taking ownership while also learning from more experienced members of the team
- Experience within travel, luxury or another considered-purchase business would be advantageous but is not essential
- Broader commercial, customer, product, marketing and insight analytics backgrounds are all relevant
- Most importantly, you’ll be excited by the opportunity to develop at the forefront of AI-enabled analytics rather than looking for a traditional reporting-focused role
