The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference to the lives of our residents, staff and communities across Wales.
As a Data Analyst Assistant, you will join our Data & Insights team and help turn data into clear, useful information that supports services across the organisation. You will create reports and dashboards, explore patterns and help improve data quality. Your work will help staff make well-informed decisions that benefit our residents, communities and staff.
What you will be doing?
- You will collect, prepare and analyse information from a range of sources to support day-to-day services and longer-term planning across the organisation.
- You will create and maintain reports and dashboards, making sure the information is accurate, reliable and easy for different audiences to understand.
- You will also spot and investigate possible errors or unusual results and help improve how information is recorded, managed and reported.
- Working with staff across the organisation, you will respond to requests for information, help explain what the data shows and support the development of reports that meet practical business needs.
- You will also help test new reports and dashboards, write clear guidance and support their introduction.

Who we are looking for?
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, pays attention to detail and has a genuine interest in working with data.
- You will communicate clearly and confidently with different audiences.
- You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and have experience using formulas, charts, pivot tables or similar tools to understand and present information.
- You should also be able to work with both numerical information and written feedback, identify patterns and use what you find to help answer questions and support decisions.
