We are adding a Data Analyst Assistant to our team to help us support a London-based partner modernize their internal operations. This partner currently relies on a complex set of legacy spreadsheets and fragmented databases to manage their daily workflows. In this role, you will work alongside our developers to clean, organize, and prepare this data so it can be migrated into a central system that actually functions for their operations team. This is a chance to see how data moves from a mess of files into a structured, production-ready environment.

About Pixel Systems

Pixel Systems is a small, fully remote software agency. We do not build flashy social apps or marketing websites. We focus on the practical tools that keep businesses running smoothly: admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations. Our clients come to us when their current software tools stop talking to each other or when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database.

We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes, we do weekly demos to show progress, and we hand over everything when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a team that prefers solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Role

As a Data Analyst Assistant, you will be the bridge between raw, messy data and our structured database systems. Much of your time will be spent looking at datasets from our London-based partner, identifying duplicates, correcting formatting errors, and helping us map how information should flow into new tools. You will help us ensure that when we move data between systems, nothing gets lost or corrupted along the way. This is a fully remote, permanent position that requires a high level of attention to detail and a willingness to handle the manual preparation work that data migration demands.

What we are looking for

We need someone who is organized and enjoys the process of bringing order to information. Since this is an entry-level role, we do not expect you to have a long list of previous jobs, but you should be comfortable working with numbers and text in a digital format. You should be someone who notices when a name is spelled incorrectly in a database or when a date format does not match the rest of the column. Because we are a remote team, you need to be able to manage your time and communicate clearly through writing. We value curiosity and the ability to ask questions when you see something in a dataset that does not look right.

Helpful background

  • Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets beyond basic data entry, such as using formulas or pivot tables.
  • A basic understanding of how databases work or what a SQL query looks like.
  • Experience with CSV, JSON, or other common data file formats.
  • A general interest in how software systems communicate through APIs.
  • Any experience with GitHub or other version control tools is useful but not required.
  • The ability to explain your findings or observations to developers in a clear way.

Working at Pixel Systems

Working here means being part of a small team where your work has a direct result on the project. We do not have layers of management or long, unnecessary meetings. We focus on shipping work that helps real people, like warehouse managers or operations coordinators, do their jobs without getting frustrated by their software. As a fully remote company, we prioritize clear communication and respect for each other's time. The position is a paid role with a competitive compensation package that is attractive for the current market and the entry-level nature of the work.

At Pixel Systems, we take pride in being the team that steps in to handle the difficult technical tasks others might avoid. We are not looking for someone to fit a specific corporate mold. We want someone who is ready to learn how modern data systems are built and who is prepared to contribute to a team that values practical, reliable solutions over unnecessary complexity.
