We are working with a public sector organisation that plays a critical role in informing policy and practice through high-quality research and evidence-based reporting. This organisation is seeking a skilled professional to join their dedicated team, contributing to initiatives of significant public importance.
The Role
- Support the day-to-day management of research databases, including data input, cleaning, querying, and analysis
- Conduct data cleaning, querying, and manipulation for complex and sensitive datasets
- Maintain and develop Excel workbooks for research and analysis
- Utilise Excel and Power BI to manipulate data and produce analytical reports
- Analyse information gathered by wider Inquiry teams for research purposes
- Communicate findings clearly and appropriately to diverse stakeholders

What You'll Need
- Strong practical data analysis experience, particularly with complex and sensitive datasets in a research environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query and Macros
- Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation tools such as Power BI, Access, SQL, R, and/or Python
- Experience gathering, managing, manipulating, and analysing large-scale research projects and datasets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
