About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic Business Systems Team. This role is based in Woodhatch, Reigate, with a flexible hybrid working model that encourages collaboration and autonomy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing, analyzing, and improving property-related data and systems across Land & Property services. You will be instrumental in ensuring data accuracy, generating actionable insights, and supporting decision-making processes to enhance public service delivery. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in property data management and contribute to the strategic objectives of Surrey County Council.
The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, including property managers, estate teams, and IT professionals, to optimize data processes and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards. The role involves working with Land & Property's Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) and other related datasets, including property master data, spatial data, estates functions, and workplace & facilities data. The position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in data analysis, property management systems, and project delivery, seeking to make a meaningful difference within a public sector environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of relevant qualifications and experience, including:
- A degree in Data Science, Information Management, Property Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience working as a Data Analyst within a property, estates, facilities, or asset management environment.
- Proven expertise in analyzing complex datasets, identifying trends, and delivering insightful reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
- Experience working with property management systems, relational databases, and spatial data, including AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, with certifications such as PRINCE2 or APMP being advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of tasks aimed at enhancing property data management and analysis, including:
- Supporting the management, analysis, and continuous improvement of property-related data across Land & Property services.
- Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security within the IWMS and other property management systems.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
- Leading on data quality initiatives and implementing process improvements to streamline data collection and analysis.
- Collaborating with property managers, estate teams, and IT professionals to optimize data workflows and system integrations.
- Building specialist knowledge in property datasets, including property master data, spatial data, leases, valuations, and workplace assets.
- Providing expert advice on data management best practices and supporting colleagues in developing their data literacy skills.
- Participating in projects related to property data systems upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
- Contributing to strategic planning by delivering insights that inform property portfolio management and resource allocation.
