Job Title: Data Analyst - Carbon Footprinting
Location: Remote / available office space in London (Ad-hoc travel into London required)
Salary: £28k
Type: 12 month fixed-term contract
Reporting To: Lead Carbon Analyst
About Us:
We’re the Zero Carbon Company, a group of passionate individuals who’ve come together to fight the climate crisis, one meal at a time. We’re working with some of the UK’s most well-known Hospitality brands—restaurants, pubs, breweries, and hotels—to tackle one of the largest sources of climate emissions: food.
Food and drink account for a huge 35% of the UK’s carbon emissions, so we’re facing a massive challenge. But it’s also an incredible opportunity to make a real difference. Our aim is to reshape food systems from (regenerative) farm to (responsible) fork, creating a sustainable future. Our goal is net zero, and we’re committed to getting there with transparency, ambition, and accountability.
Together, we have the power to be, and lead, the change the world needs.
We focus on two main areas:
The Zero Carbon Forum (ZCF):
A non-profit collaboration where hospitality businesses join forces to implement an ambitious net-zero roadmap
Zero Carbon Services (ZCS):
A social enterprise helping businesses go further with tailored carbon footprinting, reduction strategies, and sustainability consulting
At Zero Carbon Services, we’re a small, dedicated team that’s growing fast. We need a talented data analyst to help us turn our vision into real, measurable action on climate change. If you’re passionate about sustainability and want to be part of something that’s making a real impact, this could be the perfect role for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
