Data Analyst – Ecommerce + AI
Alton, Hampshire (full time office based)
£27,000 - £33,000

Are you at the start of your career and looking for somewhere you can actually put your skills in data and AI to use?
Maybe you've recently graduated in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Business Analytics or something similar. Or perhaps you've already gained some early commercial experience and want a role where you'll be given more variety and responsibility.
This is a newly created position where you'll work across data, reporting, AI, automation and e-commerce, helping an established international business make better use of technology.

What you'll be doing
A big part of your role will be working with data and reporting, helping the business better understand its sales, products and online performance.
You'll also:
- Produce and improve reports using tools such as Excel and Power BI
- Explore where AI and automation could improve existing processes
- Help departments identify repetitive or manual tasks that could be automated
- Analyse product, stock, pricing and e-commerce information
- Monitor online retailers and identify inaccurate or outdated product information
- Support websites, online marketplaces and product data feeds
- Help improve and automate existing reporting processes
- Work with different systems and integrations
- Provide occasional general IT support alongside the wider IT team
It's a broad position, making it particularly suited to someone who enjoys solving problems and doesn't want their first role to pigeonhole them into one narrow area of technology.
What you'll need

We're not looking for someone with years of commercial experience.
You could be a recent graduate, have completed a placement year, or already have some early experience in a data, reporting, IT or e-commerce environment.
We're particularly interested in someone who:
- Enjoys working with data and has strong Excel skills
- Has experience with, or a genuine interest in, Power BI and reporting
- Is actively interested in AI and how it can be applied to real business problems
- Enjoys investigating problems and finding solutions
- Is comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical people
- Wants to learn and isn't afraid to experiment with new technology
Experience with Python, automation, e-commerce platforms or marketplace data would be useful, but isn't essential.
You'll need to be able to work from the company's Alton office full-time, as this isn't a hybrid or remote position.
