ROLE DEFINITION
Responsible for transforming data from across Gamechanger Farming into clear, accurate and practical insight, with particular ownership of recurring reporting, customer data submissions, dashboards and data quality. The role combines hands-on analysis with confident ownership of reporting, stakeholder relationships and the ongoing development of data processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Dashboards, Reporting and Insight
- Design, build, maintain and continuously improve Power BI dashboards and other business intelligence solutions.
- Own recurring reporting and analysis, ensuring outputs are accurate, clear and delivered within agreed deadlines.
- Turn operational and commercial questions into practical analysis covering livestock movements, animal health and mortality, forecasting, planning, finance and KPIs.
- Create user-friendly and, where appropriate, self-service reporting that reduces reliance on recurring spreadsheets and manual data requests.
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities and explain the key message and business context to technical and non-technical audiences.
Customer Reporting and Stakeholder Management
- Act as a confident point of contact for data and reporting across Gamechanger, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, customers and external partners.
- Manage routine work alongside ad hoc requests, reprioritising where needed according to customer need, business impact, urgency and deadlines.
- Keep stakeholders informed of progress and communicate early where priorities change or a deadline may be at risk.
- Respond confidently to stakeholder questions and follow actions or data queries through to completion.

Ownership, Planning and Delivery
- As the dedicated Data Analyst within Gamechanger, take clear ownership of the data and reporting workload and drive agreed actions through from start to finish.
- Work independently and proactively, maintaining clear visibility of progress and completing agreed follow-ups from meetings and calls.
- Raise risks, delays or data issues early and involve the right people where support is needed.
Data Quality, Controls and Documentation
- Collect, clean, reconcile, validate and analyse data from farms, internal systems and external sources.
- Complete sense checks before information is issued externally and investigate errors, gaps and unusual results through to resolution.
- Maintain clear documentation of dashboards, reports, data sources, assumptions, controls and recurring submission processes.
- Protect the integrity of master data and support consistent definitions, coding and linking across systems.
- Ensure data outputs are reproducible, appropriately controlled and not dependent on undocumented individual knowledge.
Systems, App and Continuous Improvement
- Use Power BI, Excel, SSRS and SQL to analyse data, improve reporting and help investigate data or system issues.
- Work with colleagues across the business, including the ABP Data Team, to improve reporting, data processes and automation.
- Support the ongoing development and automation of the Gamechanger App, contributing ideas, testing changes and helping shape how it works for the business.
- As the App becomes established, build the knowledge needed to support it day to day, carry out initial investigation of routine issues and work with the ABP Data Team or relevant specialist where technical changes are required.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
- Demonstrable experience designing and building Power BI dashboards or equivalent business intelligence solutions.
- Good working knowledge of SQL, strong Excel skills and experience analysing data, including using SQL to help investigate data or App issues.
- Confidence working independently as the dedicated Data Analyst within Gamechanger, while collaborating effectively with the ABP Data Team and wider business.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and strict deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills, including confidence communicating with external partners.
- High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to checking, validating and documenting work.
- Strong sense of ownership, a proactive approach and the confidence to make decisions, manage priorities and raise risks early when support is needed.
- Naturally curious and improvement-focused, with practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to challenge inefficient processes.
- Experience working with data in an agriculture or finance environment is desirable.
- A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science or a related subject is preferred, although relevant practical experience will be considered.
