Job Title: Data Analyst - Graduate

Location: Bracknell, Berkshire. Potential for relocation bonus

Salary: £30,000 + 10% bonus

Legal Right to Work: Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. This is a permanent opportunity and full right to work in the UK must be in place.

About the Role:

We're on the hunt for a Graduate Data Analyst who is not only passionate about data but also eager to be part of the Analytics team at Avis Budget Group. This position is crucial in dissecting business data to provide insight on patterns, trends, and identify issues. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member, eager to harness data and technology to empower decision-making with robust analytics.

We're looking for a data enthusiast who is eager to dive deep into analytics, leveraging technical skills to drive meaningful insights and contribute significantly to the strategic direction of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of data to produce data-driven, insightful reports in Tableau & Power BI to enable strategic & operational business decisions.
  • Maintain and evolve a scalable data lake or warehouse, capable of handling large sets of diverse data.
  • Manipulate and integrate data from diverse sources, focusing on automating these processes where feasible.
  • Lead and manage special projects, aligning them with business objectives and ensuring they deliver value.
  • Support the Manager with data analysis across the function and be capable of offering recommendations/solutions.
  • Support leadership and the broader team by delivering ad hoc reporting, analysis & insight.
  • Actively contribute to delivering, maintaining, and improving services, procedures, and processes to increase satisfaction, driving performance, and achieving results.
  • Expand reporting and analytics capabilities, adapting to evolving business needs. Develop working practices that enhance technical capability within the function.
  • Review KPIs and other metrics and be able to identify any issues.
  • Maintain high quality of process documentation relating to data analysis.

Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and relational databases, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of query writing in SQL programming.
  • Microsoft Ecosystem familiarity: knowledge of SharePoint, Power Automate, and other Power Platform products.
  • Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, and transforming techniques (ETL).
  • Experience in data analysis and data management.
  • Deep understanding of, and curiosity about, business data and analytics.
  • A keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to question and troubleshoot data.
  • A continuous problem-solving mentality that works to improve processes & reporting.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as required.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse client group across different functions, levels, and cultures.
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently, as well as part of a team.
