Introduction
A fast-growing financial services business is scaling quickly and needs stronger data visibility to keep pace. This is a newly created Data Analyst role with real influence, helping shape how the business measures performance and turns data into better decisions.
Role Overview
- Location: Central London – 3 days per week in the office
- Package: Outside IR35 contract
- Contract: Immediate start, initially until the end of the year, with the view to moving permanent in the new year
- Industry: Capital Markets / Prime Brokerage
What You’ll Be Doing
- Establish the core KPIs the business needs to understand commercial and operational performance.
- Work with senior stakeholders to define reporting priorities and turn business questions into meaningful data requirements.
- Identify where key data sits across the organisation and assess its accuracy, consistency and reliability.
- Tackle data quality issues and bring structure to information that currently sits across different sources.
- Build a robust reporting framework and establish consistent standards for how performance is measured and presented.
- Develop clear executive-level dashboards that give leadership a straightforward view of business performance.
- Analyse revenue, profitability, product and service-line performance alongside wider commercial metrics.
- Develop reporting around key operational measures, including areas such as payments.
- Look for opportunities to automate recurring reporting and remove unnecessary manual processes.
- Turn raw data into practical insight, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
- Present findings clearly to senior stakeholders, tailoring the level of detail and focus to what they need to make decisions.
- Take ownership in an environment that is still developing, proactively identifying what needs to be done rather than waiting for a fully defined brief.

Main Skills Needed
- Proven experience working within Prime Brokerage / Prime Services.
- Strong background in Capital Markets.
- Experience in Synthetic Prime, CFDs or a closely related Prime Brokerage environment would be particularly valuable.
- Solid commercial and operational data analysis experience, ideally covering revenue, profitability and business performance.
- Strong understanding of data quality, reporting structures, KPIs and dashboarding.
- Ability to work across multiple data sources and resolve inconsistencies.
- Experience building or improving management and executive reporting.
- Comfortable identifying opportunities to automate reporting and improve efficiency.
- Able to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insight.
- Confident working directly with senior executives and communicating at their level.
- Naturally proactive, comfortable working with ambiguity and able to make progress in a fast-moving, developing organisation.
